All across Gower, Swansea
Undoubtedly many people who visit the area come to enjoy walking in Gower, where the views are magnificent. On a clear day you can see over to the Devon and Pembrokeshire coasts and Lundy Island.
If you are proposing to walk with your own group, we would recommend that you buy the OS Explorer (164) map for Gower. ISBN 0-319-23419-3 The scale is 1:25000 (4cm to 1km or 2.5 inches to 1mile). It is much more detailed than the ordinary OS maps and we wouldn’t be without it.
The Wales Coast Path which officially opened in May 2012 follows, as near as possible, the coastline of Wales. It is divided into areas and Gower falls into region G.

The Royal Geographical Society (with IBG) has launched a website of free self-guided walks, trails and viewpoints across the length and breadth of Britain that tells the stories of our landscapes. The aim is to help people explore and enjoy our towns and countryside.
They have created a walk in Rhossili, Gower, which explores the beautiful scenery of this small peninsula. Through the five miles, various different landscapes will be explained, from golden beaches to windswept heaths, wave-carved bays, to unspoilt farms, all to discover why it was designated the UK’s first ever Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. All content including directions and maps are available for free on their website: https://www.discoveringbritain.org/activities/wales/walks/rhossilli-walk.html
There are guide books that are available locally and online with favourite walks and suggested routes.
Swansea Ramblers organise walks all year around and welcome people to join them.
