The Gower Peninsula, Britain’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers visitors a range of activities throughout the year.
There are a vast number of beaches, some of which are more easily accessed and are manned by lifeguards for example Three Cliffs, Langland and Caswell, others such as Llangennith are popular for surfing, several are more secluded, but well worth the walk.
The Gower Peninsular is an ideal area for those that enjoy outdoor holidays. It has a range of footpaths and bridleways suitable for walking, mountain biking and horse-riding through a diverse range of landscapes – along spectacular clifftops, through picturesque villages, rolling countryside, hills, valleys, commons, woodland, dunes and marshes. The area has an historic past and has many ancient sites, monuments, caves, castles at Pennard, Oxwich and Weobley and landmarks to visit including King Arthur’s Stone.
In Parkmill, 5 minutes drive, you have the choice of an old working watermill with many other attractions for the younger members of the family, or one of the many horse-riding facilities in the area. Further afield, at Perriswood just 10 minutes drive away there is an Archery and wild bird centre.

The Mumbles, a few miles out of Swansea, is also great for individual shopping with lots of boutiques and restaurants plus our famous Joe’s ice-cream parlour.
