The farmhouse which, was built in the 19th century stands in a walled garden on a working farm, near the village of Rhosilli. The location is peaceful and idyllically rural. The farmhouse is a five minute walk through unspoilt countryside to Mewslade Bay, one of the most picturesque and secluded beaches in Gower, perfect for walking, swimming, surfing, sunbathing and for children to play in the sand and rock pools. Mewslade is surrounded by high limestone cliffs which have some stunning caves that are fun to explore. The walk from the front door of the house to the beach and coastal path meanders down a narrow valley to the sea, through wooded and open countryside, rich in flora and fauna.

Other things to note Mewslade Bay is a 5-minute walk from the Farmhouse and is perfect for swimming, surfing, sunbathing, and children playing in the sand and rock pools. Mewslade is southerly facing and gets the most of the sun all day. It is perfect for finding a small secluded area to relax in with little coves along the beach. High limestone cliffs surround Mewslade with some stunning caves that are fun to explore. The walk from the house’s front door to the beach and the coastal path meanders down a narrow valley to the sea, through wooded and open countryside, rich in flora and fauna. Continuing from Mewslade bay the coastal path either takes you to Port Eynon or towards Rhossili, passing amazing Fall Bay and the iconic Worms Head and then into the village of Rhossili, where you can enjoy a pint, a meal or a coffee and cake overlooking Rhossili Bay. The coastal walk to Rhossili is relatively easy and will take around 1 hour.
The village of Rhossili is only 10 min walk by road or 1-minute drive and has a pub, bistro, restaurant, shops and galleries. Rhossili also has great walks views and unforgettable sunsets.

We had a wonderful week at Lower Pitton Farmhouse. The house is set in a beautiful garden and is perfectly located for access to cliff walks, village and one of the most beautiful beaches on Gower. The kitchen is really well appointed, with a nice adjoining conservatory and outdoor eating space. There is a really useful utility room for beach kit. The local shop in Scurlage is pretty well stocked for everything you need. Bedrooms / sitting rooms are spacious and comfortable. Mark is really friendly and helpful both before and during our stay. Thank you Mark - we very much hope to return! Helen

My family stayed in Lower Pitton farmhouse over Christmas and had an absolutely lovely time. The house is warm and cosy, with a large kitchen for cooking large Christmas dinners. Mark made sure we had everything we needed, including a beautiful Christmas tree. This was our first visit to the Gower and I cannot believe we haven’t visited before: wild horses, beautiful beaches, warm pubs and excellent surfing, right on our doorstep. We will definitely be back. Megan
